Larry M. Berman is a Co-Founder of ETF Capital Management, and brings nearly twenty years of industry experience to the role of Chief Investment Officer. Larry has been consistently ranked as one of Canada’s “Top 3 Analysts” according to institutional investor surveys.
Larry began his career as a Toronto based investment advisor in 1989 and completed a technical internship in New York with the Market Technicians Association (MTA) in 1994, where he studied the techniques of many top Wall Street technicians. Prior to founding ETFCM, he was Chief Technical Strategist and Managing Director for CIBC World Markets since 1997. Larry was a senior technical analyst for Thomson IFR in Boston and senior technical analyst and trader for Marleau, Lemire Futures in Toronto
Larry is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and is a US registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).
Larry is the primary author of the textbook for the technical analysis course offered by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI), which is the primary source of education for technical analysis in Canada. Larry is past President of the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA), past Vice-Chairman (Americas) of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA), and in 2010 completed a 2 year term as President of the Market Technicians Association (MTA). Larry’s opinions frequently appear in the media, and he is a featured weekly on BNN’s (formerly RobTV) Berman’s Call.
Larry graduated from York University with a BA in Economics.

Margaret Samuel is President, Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager of Enriched Investing Incorporated. Ms. Samuel is contracted to assist Larry Berman with portfolio management duties, as needed, and sits on the ETF Capital Management Investment Committee.
Over a period of more than eighteen years, Ms. Samuel has developed a disciplined approach to portfolio management at major Canadian investment institutions. Ms. Samuel has analyzed, traded and managed money market, fixed income, common equity and derivative hedging instruments and portfolios, gaining in-depth experience in fundamental, technical and quantitative disciplines.
Ms. Samuel has generated 5-star, 1st quartile portfolio returns. The types of portfolios she has managed have included Canadian Equities, Hedge Funds, and Swaps/Options.
From 2005 to 2008, Ms. Samuel was the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at an investment management firm where she established and managed the wealth management program and accounts for high net worth clients, was Chief Compliance Officer for two years, oversaw investments by the firm, supervised associate portfolio managers, and managed a long-only fund and a long-short fund.
Other positions she has held include Portfolio Manager of long-short and long-only funds, Vice-President, Investment Advisor, and Analyst with organizations including the Royal Bank Group of Companies and Ontario Teachers Pension Plan Board. Ms. Samuel graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Laws degree, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction. Ms Samuel holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a Member of the Toronto CFA Society, is a Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and is a Board member of the Empire Club of Canada.

Jared Rabinowitz has a broad-based background in financial services, and extensive experience with rapidly growing new ventures, specializing in providing innovative solutions that drive revenue; improve efficiencies; reduce costs; and improve stakeholder value.
Jared became involved in the financial industry when he founded JCRM Systems; a privately-held company that creates Client Relationship Management databases for the financial services industry. Over the next six years JCRM Systems extended its mandate, providing holistic practice management consulting services to a $90 Million dollar private client group – including consolidated reporting systems; analytics and investment selection tools; along with business and marketing strategy.
During the blackout of August 2003, Jared realized the opportunity for developing and marketing emergency preparedness kits. He was inspired to create the concept for American Family Safety Inc. - taking a temporary leave from the financial industry to launch AFS, along with Barbados subsidiary American Family Safety International SRL. As founding partner and managing director, he developed the organization’s business and marketing strategy; product line; finance/operations/technology plans; and corporate branding - implementing a multi-tier distribution strategy throughout the United States. AFS has partnered with major non-profit organizations, and the business community to protect many thousands of households, and operates an industry leading e-commerce site.
Jared returned to the financial world in November 2006, partnering with Larry Berman to co-found the organization, in the capacity of President and Chief Operating Officer.
Jared’s mission at ETFCM is to manage all non-advisory aspects of the business, allowing the Chief Investment Officer and his staff to apply 100% focus toward our most critical goal of protecting and enhancing the investment dollar of our clients.
Jared is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario.

Luka Biber develops sophisticated investment management models to enable the ETFCM investment team in optimizing returns.
Luka has substantial experience in financial modeling. Prior to joining ETFCM, Luka gained extensive programming and management experience from various reputable companies such as Descartes Systems Group and Spreed Inc. During his tenure at Deutsche Bank, he worked as a programmer analyst to make improvements to fixed income financial models.
Luka Biber brings his strong analytical skills and technical background to ETFCM. Luka earned a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a Level 3 Candidate for the CFA Program.

Patricia Sam works closely with new clients to help them understand the benefits of ETF Capital Management and Larry's active management style. She also facilitates and resolves any account inquiries/issues for existing clients.
Patricia has an educational background in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and has worked in the financial industry for a few years in Collateral Management for Global Institutional Security Lending prior to joining ETF Capital Management.
Patricia has been an active Board member of the North York Women's Shelter (NYWS) since 2009 where she is dedicated to promoting awareness regarding various women issues. She is also on the Governance Committee where she helps reform outdated policies to ensure a healthier environment for the staff, volunteers, and clients of the NYWS.
